Asus VG248QE – Review
The Asus VG248QE currently is one of the most hyped gaming monitors out there. With a fantastic refresh-rate of 144 Hertz it is the bestseller monitor in the category “144hz gaming monitors”.
1. The Design of the ASUS VG248QE
The design of the ASUS VG248QE Monitor is just perfect. The round stand in the center rotates as the monitor. With the height and rotation adjustments are also nice for finding the perfect view for gaming. The inputs are all down on the bottom of the VG248QE and very easy to access. Even though the borders are a bit thicker than on other gaming monitors, it is still no problem and nice to play games on this monitor.

2. Image Quality of the ASUS VG248QE
The current bestseller monitor by ASUS has a pretty good picture quality. With its TN-Panel it is obviously made for fast paced gaming and therefore it has a worse quality than monitors with an IPS-Panel. However, for a gaming monitor it is really decent and absolutely okay. The only bigger problem is, that it provides a poor darkroom experience, because black colors often look a bit more grey, but when used in a brighter environment the monitor provides a perfect experience.
The horizontal and vertical viewing angels are not that good as the colors and contrasts change a lot when vieweing from the top.
3. Overall Features of the Monitor
The ASUS VG248QE was considered as one of the first monitor on the global market with perfect responsiveness and fantastic ergonomics. It comes with a TN-Panel, a built-in 3D Dislpay function, a 1:1000 contrast ratio and also a response time of 1ms. Several reviews and scientifical tests of this monitor have shown that the exact response time data is, like similar gaming monitors, about 3.2ms (different measurements result in different values). Altough this is a perfect response rate for a gaming monitor. The monitors uses a black-light dimming control – aslo known as “pulse width modulation“.
